This part is the tenth in the series (that’s why some call it Code Ten), and it is the sixth Call of Duty developed by the Infinity Ward team, and this part was developed through an advanced version of the series’ well-known engine, which is IW 6 (although when they announced it, they mentioned that it was a new engine) in cooperation with the Havok engine. To be honest, before I started talking about the game, I was never excited about it, because I knew deep down that its experience had never changed and that it was the same game that we get every year, despite Activision’s hype that it is a new experience and that its engine capabilities are so powerful that fish move through you when you advance toward it (oooh, it’s the next generation, guys!), and that it is the first Call of Duty to include a dog with a personality and an entity that helps you carry out missions.

As is the case with every new part of a successful series, Call of Duty: Ghosts does not ignore the reason for the success of the previous parts, as it maintains the fast and smooth gameplay that contributed to the series’ fame, but it offers new, unprecedented ideas in modifying characters, in addition to some changes that add a new flavor to the multiplayer experience. Call of Duty: Ghosts offers a high level, but it is sometimes complex. This time, it is distinguished by offering ambitious and renewed ideas and a game life that lasts for long hours.

Although the name of the game Ghosts is similar to one of the characters in the Modern Warfare series, the game is set in a completely different world and takes place in the near future. It is customary in shooting games for the source of danger to be the Russian enemy or a terrorist from the Middle East. Ghosts moved away from this boring routine this time and chose for the danger to come from the south instead of the east, as countries from South America rose thanks to their high oil reserves and began expanding north towards America and waged war on it.

The game opens with a different and strange face for America, as it is fighting a war that has weakened it but has not yet destroyed it. The game takes you to areas that we have not seen much in shooting games, such as the besieged city of Santa Monica or what remains of the destroyed city of San Diego, to the sad tunes of David Buckley, who worked on the music for Metal Gear Solid 4. The events will not remain in America for long, but will take you to distant and interesting places such as the Andes Mountains and Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.

The variety of environments in the game keeps the story mode entertaining, not only in terms of graphics and scenery, but also in terms of gameplay. Instead of fighting endless hordes of enemies and confronting their attacks on the ground, you will find yourself climbing the highest skyscrapers, piloting warplanes, and even fighting in space. The game takes you to control a dog or escape from shark attacks in the middle of the seas. All of these situations require you to pay full attention and think quickly and in an unusual way.
